My research focuses on the systematics, evolution, and conservation of Asian reptiles and amphibians, particularly agamid lizards in the subfamily Draconinae in China and across the Pan-Himalaya region.

Herpetofaunal diversity of the East Himalaya and SW China
Explore the cryptic diversity of reptiles and amphibians along the eastern Himalaya and SW China
Currently working on the taxonomy of the genus AmolopsCalotes, Diploderma, JapaluraLycodon, and Sphenomorphus.

Phylogeography and Evolution of Diploderma
Revise the taxonomy and phylogenetic relationships of Mountain Dragons in the paraphyletic genus Japalura sensu lato. Focusing on the Chinese clade (genus Diploderma), I will then further explore the biogeographic history and speciation mechanisms of the genus in the Hengduan Mountain Region of SW China
